Apple has become known for many things, and beyond the products themselves, one concept associated with the company is the 'one more thing' announcement that often comes at the end of Apple events. It comes just as things seem to be winding down and is often exciting and brand new; for example, the original Apple Watch was a 'latest thing', just like the iPhone X. Apple's next big release is right around the corner, and the iPhone 12 line is expected to land soon, maybe early of September. We'll also likely see the launch of the Apple Watch 6, among other potential devices, but will there be anything else? And if so, what will it be? Below, we take a look at the possible possibilities.
Will there be “one more thing” this year?
The first thing to note is that while Apple has become known for this practice, there's no guarantee we'll have one this year. Some years we haven't had one, and the most recent was the iPhone X in 2017. Also, it's not just any year: Covid-19 has caused problems and a big media event is not. not as convenient as usual. There's even the possibility of the iPhone 12 being announced via press release, which wouldn't leave much room for 'one more thing' theaters. But there are plenty of Apple products and services in the pipeline, so there are definitely some potential candidates, like the items below.

Rumors suggest you'll be able to locate lost AirTags using Apple's existing Find My feature, but there's also talk of AR tracking and using other people's iPhones to help track down AirTags if they're out of network range of your device. So while we have a reasonable idea of what to expect from Apple AirTags, what we don't know is when they're coming. A launch alongside the iPhone 12 is entirely possible, but not something we've specifically heard of. In fact, we know for a fact that Apple has tested autonomous vehicle technology, as test vehicles have even been seen on the road. More recently, we've seen an Apple patent for auto-darkening car windows, and with Apple CarPlay already in existence, it's clear Apple is interested in vehicles. But while we know that Apple is testing, or was testing, self-driving car technology, there is no indication that the project is nearing completion, and in 2018, Ming-Chi Kuo (an analyst with a good track record at Apple News) He claimed that we would only see the Apple car between 2023 and 2025, according to MacRumors. So we'd say it's highly unlikely that we'll see the Apple Car at Apple's big event this year, but if we do, as a major new project, it would be a great "one more thing."

That said, we've heard reports elsewhere that Apple's glasses won't launch until at least 2022. They would be a good fit as 'one more thing' - a big, exciting announcement that isn't the main event, and with a leak saying they could fill that role, they're a likely candidate, but still far from guaranteed. .

Most recently, a report suggested that Apple is working on a "less ambitious wireless charger," which could mean a basic charger for a single device, or something that charges two things at once. Given the growing popularity of wireless charging and the fact that Apple would not include a wired charger in the iPhone 12 box, it would make sense for the company to build its own wireless chargers. So we wouldn't be at all surprised if some kind of wireless charger from Apple was announced at the next event. But if it's less ambitious than AirPower, it's also likely to be less exciting, making it a poor candidate for
