Launch of Dyson Corrale Hair Straightener with Flexible Plate Technology in India
Dyson announced the Corrale hair straightener in India. This is a premium iron with flex plate technology that provides improved styling with less reliance on heat. Using flexible plate technology, the Dyson Corrale eliminates hair damage. The iron was launched in March 2020 in the international markets and is now making its way to the Indian shores.

It's a cordless design that was developed by Dyson with a €1 billion investment in battery technology. The flexible plates are patented and are made of a copper-manganese alloy with 15 micro-articulated segments that flex and conform to the hair. The flexible plates offer three precise heat settings: 165°C, 185°C and 210°C. It also has a built-in heat control plate to keep the temperature in check and ensure precise heat. The Dyson Corrale uses a 4 cell lithium ion battery and is capable of delivering up to 30 minutes of cordless use. A full charge will take 70 minutes. It can be used in two ways: wired or wireless. You get a 360 degree magnetic charging cable to power the device. Dyson has developed a complex plate made from an alloy of copper and manganese with the mixture of six metals to provide optimum flexibility, strength and heat conduction. Each plate is precision machined to 65 microns, the width of a human hair. Unlike traditional straighteners, the flexible plates of the Dyson Corrale straightener mold to shape and collect hair, giving the user greater control and thus improving styling results.
