Keyboard Review | The comparison
As Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology becomes more and more popular, the number of VoIP service providers has grown exponentially. This means that it can be quite difficult to select the best VoIP service for your business, especially if you don't really know what you are looking for. Dialpad is one of the largest VoIP service providers in the world, with more than 70.000 customers and 11 offices around the world. In the review below, we take a close look at every aspect of this business, including its customer service, plans and pricing, key features, and more to help you decide if you should use it.

Telephone keypad: plans and prices

Dialpad offers many different subscription options, including VoIP-based business phone system plans, contact center solutions, video conferencing, and a sales dialing system. Most normal businesses will look for something close to Dialpad business phone systems. Pricing starts at €15 per user per month (with a minimum of one license) for a Standard plan. This includes unlimited calling, various call control tools, voicemail transcription, a fax plug-in (at an additional cost), streamlined integrations with Google G Suite and Microsoft Office, and more. Upgrading to the Pro plan (starting at €25 per user per month) adds Salesforce integration, API and webhook functionality, local number support in 50+ countries, and more. Custom business plans are also available for larger businesses, but you'll need to request a quote for more information. In addition to business phone systems, there are two separate video conferencing plans (free and €15 per user per month), a business numbering plan that costs €95 per agent per month, and a contact center plan. Starting at €75 per user per month. It's also worth noting that a 14-day free trial is available for all business and video conferencing plans, allowing you to try before you buy.

Keyboard: features

Dialpad provides an excellent VoIP service backed by many advanced features. These are too many to list, but we've outlined a few of the most notable below. Based on machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI), Dialpad's built-in voice intelligence features are excellent. They are designed to provide automated call notes and transcripts, help customer service agents in real time, and more. If you need to go beyond standard VoIP voice calls, Dialpad is here for you. It includes amazing audio and video conferencing features such as screen sharing, conference music on hold, various user controls and more. Finally, Dialpad allows virtual faxing directly from your desktop. You'll need to purchase a fax plugin for this, but it shouldn't be too expensive, though the price will vary depending on the plan you're using.

Keyboard: interface and in use

To start a free trial with Dialpad, simply follow a short registration process. Here you can choose a phone number, select the plan you want to use after the free trial ends, and confirm your personal information. Please note that at this point you will need to add your payment information and set up automatic billing, although this can be canceled at any time during your trial without penalty. Download the desktop app (Windows and Mac versions available) and/or mobile app (Android and iOS) and sign in to your account to get started. We tested the Windows desktop and web apps and were very impressed. For starters, the web app is simple and intuitive, if a bit basic. It allows you to make calls, send messages, listen to voicemail and recorded calls, and manage your contacts. The Windows app is similar, but with more features. Finally, the web-based control panel allows you to view analytics, manage program settings, set up your business phone system, and more.

Dial pad: support

While setting up your Dialpad account, you may have a problem or need advice on something. If so, you can speak to the customer service team via phone, live chat, or online ticket submission. There's also an online forum where you can ask questions and explore previous conversations. On top of that, Dialpad has a complete Help Center with hundreds of articles, guides, video tutorials, and other self-help resources. Use the search bar at the top of the screen to find relevant information or simply search by category.

Telephone keypad: security

It's always nice to see transparency and candor around a company's security measures, and Dialpad excels here. It provides clear insight into the tools you use to keep your personal information and all sensitive data safe at all times, and it does it well. On the simple end of the spectrum, it includes tools that let you set clear user permissions and access controls, manage which users have access to which integrations and features, and make sure things work as they should. In addition, all communications are fully encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security) technology and AES 256-bit security. Additionally, all data is encrypted at rest, greatly reducing the risk of hackers or data breaches. All in all, Dialpad's security features are excellent.

Competition

Dialpad offers an excellent VoIP service across the board, but there are plenty of other providers to consider. For example, the 8x8 X series is a great option for those on a tight budget. At €12 per user per month, it's only slightly cheaper than Dialpad, but even its most basic plan includes a wide range of features aimed at small businesses. Another decent option is Aircall, which focuses on providing high-quality VoIP services along with CRM integrations. It's a bit pricey, with prices starting at €30 per user per month for a fairly basic service, but it still offers a lot to like.

Final verdict

Dialpad was impressed as soon as we first landed on its website, and nothing changed during our review. The included features are great, their services are backed by powerful security integrations, and there are versatile subscription options for businesses of all shapes and sizes. Also, their prices are quite competitive and most plans come with a 14-day free trial. Ultimately, we recommend that you sign up for the trial and give the platform a try if you are looking for a feature-rich and reliable VoIP service provider.
