Keanu Reeves was almost thrown into Death Stranding

This seems to be the year of Keanu Reeves. Between his role in Cyberpunk 2077, a hilarious appearance on Netflix's Always Be My Maybe, and the upcoming Bill & Ted movie, 2019, he only talks about Reeves. And it looks like the stunning actor has just about another look lined up: in Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding. At a San Diego Comic-Con panel, Hideo Kojima, the creator of Death Stranding, revealed that Reeves was originally recommended for a lead role in the game. However, Kojima decided to go with Mads. Hannibal's Mikkelsen. "Originally, I had recommended Keanu Reeves, but I wanted Mads," Kojima said on the panel, according to Twitter user Kalai Chik. Take a look at the tweet below:

However, had that been the case, it's unlikely we'd see Keanu in Cyberpunk 2077. In any case, we're pleased to see Keanu get into the video game business. Death Stranding will be available on November 8 on PlayStation 4.
