JBL's Google Assistant soundbar finally launched after a year delay
JBL's Link Bar was announced a long time ago, almost a year actually, but the all-in-one soundbar, Android TV box, Chromecast stick, and Google assistant speaker have just become available for purchase. . According to Engadget, pre-orders also started almost a year ago, but now the Link Bar can finally be purchased on JBL's website and in authorized stores at €399.95 / €349. This works out to around A€99; However, it does not appear to be available in Australia at this time. If you want a bit more bass with your new bar, you can also pick up an optional subwoofer for $630 (roughly £299.95 / AU$240).

Smart sound bar

In addition to improving the sound of your home theater system, this smart sound bar can also turn your old "stupid" TV into a smart TV with a built-in Android TV, giving you access to apps like Netflix, YouTube and Hulu. It also comes with the Google Assistant built-in, which means you can search the contents of your Android TV with just your voice, while controlling your smart home. If you prefer to browse your music, broadcasts and radio stations via your smartphone or laptop, JBL's Links Bar also features Chromecast functionality built-in. With all these clever features, it seems like the JBL Link Bar gives you a lot for your money; $400 is a significant expense, though, and some of the best soundbars are much cheaper, like the $250 Polk Audio Control Bar (£249/$649). Of course, if you buy a separate budget bar, a Google Assistant speaker, and a Chromecast device, you could have a bill of over $400. In this case, the JBL Link Bar is actually a very attractive prospect. Via Engadget
