Apple may have announced the death of iTunes as we know it, by splitting it into three separate apps with the next version of macOS (Catalina), but what about that? Windows app? Well, it looks like it won't be affected. Apple informed Billboard's Micah Singleton that iTunes for Windows would continue to work as expected, at least for now.
Apple tells me that iTunes will continue to exist in its current state under Windows and that the iTunes Music Store will be available in the Finder sidebar on MacOS Catalina on June 3, 2019. As you can see in the above tweet (via Windows Central), Singleton also noted that the iTunes Store would still be available in the Finder under macOS Catalina, as well as in the sidebar of the new Music app (All three of the new Catalina apps will be available). Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Podcasts). Ars Technica also said that Apple did not intend to end support for iTunes on Windows, although it was important to know if that would eventually change.
