This happened so often that drinking water companies started to introduce campiña to point out to customers that the drinking water supply was not inexhaustible. Vitens also tuvo muchos gestos to catch up and sought publicity to warn people to be more economical with drinking water. Dicho has led Vitens to focus fully on sustainability in the coming years, under the lema "every drop sustainable". An important condition for this is insight and timing and the water consumption of the customers, in which the IT department plays an indispensable role.
