Iris Software Launches 'Next Generation' Cloud Accounting Platform
Iris Software Group introduced Iris Elements, a new accounting platform for accounting professionals who want to migrate their workflow to the cloud. Developed to mechanize your workflow, Iris Elements is available in modular form and also includes the basic tools Iris Elements AML (Anti-Money Laundering), Iris Elements SmartTax and Senta by Iris. Iris Elements AML is at the heart of the pack, as it was developed after Iris discovered that many accountants do not have a defined AML process. The new cloud-based software solution will help minimize manual labor and automate many processes involved in this area of accounting. Other tools in the Iris Elements arsenal follow suit, with the SmartTax module giving an instant view of a user's tax situation. It offers "real-time" tax calculations produced from the Iris personal tax package and is intended to enhance the income tax filing process for clients of the service.

Meanwhile, Senta by Iris is an acquisition of the Iris software suite that provides a native Software as a Service Practice Management Cloud solution for accounting service clients. Like the other Iris Elements components, this module was designed to ease an accountant's workload by creating more flexible and automated workflows. The package can be configured to send automatic reminders to service staff and customers, minimizing the risk of mistakes or forgotten details. Other additions to the Iris Elements software package will also be made in the coming months. Add-on modules aimed at improving the performance of the cloud-based package will include Iris Elements Advisory Plus, which presents a graphical dashboard of a user's activity. There will also be the Iris Elements Small Practice Suite, which was developed for small and medium-sized businesses based on research from the Iris customer community. “When Iris saw the cloud software trend accelerating some time ago, we knew that accounting practices could yield real benefits,” said Jim Scott, Iris' general accounting manager. “Even before Covid-XNUMX, we could see that accountants would like to embrace cloud technology, reduce technical difficulty, increase their agility, support flexible working, and enhance their ability to respond to changing customer demands for service. . “We realized that what accountants needed was not a piecemeal, tactical response to the cloud, but rather a strategic, scalable, and future-ready solution. Iris Elements is the answer to this need. "
