IQoo 5 release date and price

The iQoo 5 series is confirmed to be unveiled in China on August 17. Interestingly, iQoo India released a trailer (which was quickly deleted) which we believe was a hint for the Indian launch of the iQoo 5 series. The price of the iQoo 3 was CNY 3598 in China and Rs 36999 in India. However, it quickly saw price drops and additional offers, making it even more affordable. It is to be expected that the iQoo 5 series will be a bit more expensive in comparison. Considering that this will also be one of the first to hit the market with some of the features, we wouldn't be surprised if the top variant goes even higher.

IQoo 5 What's New and Leaks

(Image credit: iQoo) The differences between the iQoo 5 and the 'iQoo 5 Pro' are yet to be detailed. We believe that the teasers refer to the high-end device for now. The biggest talking point is the inclusion of 120W fast charging, which can charge the phone from 0 to full in just 20 minutes. This feature will likely be limited to the Pro variant, with the regular version getting 55W fast charging. Inside, the iQoo 5 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset, which is great for gaming. 5G capabilities will also make the cut. Benchmarks suggest the phones will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but there will be other configurations as well. iQoo has also confirmed that these will be the faster type: LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The other big update will come with the screen. The iQoo 3 had a 60Hz panel, which is far from ideal for high-end gaming phones. The iQoo 5 series is confirmed to carry this refresh rate of up to 120Hz and 240Hz touch sampling. Design-wise, we could get a phone based on the Vivo X50 series with a matte gray finish on the back with the cameras in the corner. There will also be a special edition of the phone in association with BMW Motorsport with a black carbon fiber finish.
