Your iPhone has just received a new update to the latest version of iOS 15.1, and it is designed to provide a major bug fix for those with an iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 series phone.
iOS 15.1.1 fixes a bug affecting some of the newer Apple phones where the phones stopped calling more often than they should. Some phones have suffered from this problem since the arrival of iOS 15.1 in October.
If you are facing these issues, this will be a major update for you, but it will not provide any other functionality to those who have not suffered from the issue in the last month.
The update should be available on your iPhone now, if your device supports it. All phones updated to iOS 15.1, that is, iPhone 6S or higher, will be able to download this update.
To get it, go to the Settings app on your iPhone and go to General. In this menu you will find the software update here where iOS 15.1.1 is ready to install there.
Analysis: a major update, but only for some
Some may have been excited to see a new update land on their iPhone, but this is only important to those who have come across this annoying error where their phone drops calls.
For those involved, it will be a big change. For everyone else, you'll wait for iOS 15.2 until you see other features.
We have yet to find out when this new update will be released, but the beta versions of the software have provided us with a rundown of the features we can expect.
