Intel has an amazing app in the works that will copy the best feature of Mac

Intel is adding an entirely new feature to its PCs: an app called Unison, which will let users call, text, and send files between Windows and Android devices. It's a feature Macs have had for years with their own products, and it's meant to keep users focused on their workflow.

The move, according to Engadget, comes a year after Intel acquired Israeli startup Screenovate, prompting the tech giant to overhaul its phone onboarding tool and enable VPN, firewall, and IT support. Thanks to Unison, Intel can also manage wireless connections between Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular networks while consuming more battery power.

The Unison app will quickly transfer files, such as photos or videos, from your phone to your PC or vice versa. Although at the moment there is no official confirmation of how fast these transfer speeds are.

According to Josh Newman, vice president of mobile innovation at Intel, only a few 12th-gen HP Evo PCs will have Unison now, and it will be available for 13th-gen PCs next year. While it seems possible that the app could be compatible with older Intel hardware, Newman said Intel wants to see how it works first.

How can Unison improve Android and Windows?

The Unison app will deliver features that Mac users have loved for years and has the potential to become an absolute life-changing feature for PC owners. Especially considering that it's for calls, texts, and file sharing with modified network connections for the service to really shine.

It's not as simple as Mac and iOS say, but it's already better than Microsoft's Phone Links app, which only allows in-app notifications between Windows devices. With a little more time and investment, Unison could share files almost instantly between Windows and Android devices in a wide variety of media.

It sounds like support will ultimately depend on how well Unison performs on 12th and 13th Gen Intel Evo PCs, but the potential is there and we can't wait to see Unison expand its service to other Intel PCs and more. even to PCs in general.
