Prolific camera maker Insta360 pretty much dominates our guide to the best 360 cameras, but it's apparently just getting started: A new teaser video and website show it's gearing up to release another box of video footage very soon. According to the teaser video (below), the new camera, which the brand promotes with the tagline "Impossible in your pocket," will be announced on October 28. Based on short clips in the video, it appears to be another 360-degree model, which would mean it could follow models like the Insta360 Evo and Insta360 One X. Despite the company name, not all Insta360 cameras capture 360 images. degrees. The Insta360 Go, for example, is a small camera that relies heavily on the company's FlowState stabilization. But the footage in this latest teaser video has all the makings of one of their incredibly fun 360 cameras, including some clever 'bullet time' footage that's hard to pull off with other cameras.

So what exactly can we take away from this video? Not much, considering it's only 15 seconds long, but there are some clues. In the first clip, we see the kind of in-flight slow motion that was previously possible with Insta360's Drifter accessory, along with a suggestion that the camera might be waterproof. The following clip shows a Matrix-style bullet-time photo, made possible by the combination of a 360-degree lens and special tripod (although currently an optional extra) that the Insta360 software automatically removes from the photo. But it's the third shot, showing a camera flying through the window of a moving car, that we can't quite explain. Despite the impressive tech on display, this is potentially one of those plans that requires higher settings than the average user, but we're certainly intrigued. The October 28 release date means we don't have to wait much longer for full camera specs and details, and if you're in the mood to treat yourself to an early Christmas gift, Insta360 is hosting competition to win the mysterious chamber. All you have to do is subscribe to the Insta360 YouTube channel and say in the comments how you will use their next camera.
