Huawei MediaPad M7 could bring the Punch camera to tablets

It appears that Huawei has another tablet in the works, according to a new revealed image, which brings to market something out of the ordinary: a cutout for the selfie camera.

The images provided by 91mobiles show what we believe to be the Huawei MediaPad M7, called Marx at Huawei, and that it should be available in blue or silver.

In addition to the notch in the angle of the screen, the tablet also appears to have a dual-lens camera on the back and will be compatible with the Huawei M-Pen.

Regarding the updates to the MediaPad M6, it seems that the glasses have been thinned and the fingerprint sensor has moved under the screen. It's not immediately clear whether the 3.5mm audio jack has been kept.

We don't have a lot of spec details yet, but it is very likely that the tablet will appear with the latest Kirin 990 processor integrated. As for the launch date, MWC 2020 is a good option at the end of February.

Of course, many questions remain about what kind of software the M7 MediaPad might contain, given the ongoing friction between the US and China (and Huawei). You can carry a variant without Google on Android, like the Huawei Mate 30.

However, many things may change for February, so if the United States decided to ease some of the restrictions it imposed on US companies and Huawei, the full and regular version of Android could be put back on the table.

We could certainly use other leading Android tablets to tackle the power of the iPad; Aside from the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, there isn't much to choose from.
