HTC's Vive Cosmos Elite launched today, the VR headset launched worldwide, and it's accompanied by an imminent and highly anticipated copy of Half-Life: Alyx (even for those who've already pre-ordered). Obviously, you won't receive a physical copy of the game, as Half-Life: Alyx hasn't released yet, so what you'll receive is a code in the box to unlock Valve's shooter when it launches on March 23. Please note that this is "while supplies last" and the unlock code will not be provided in the following countries: China, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Ukraine. The Cosmos Elite has a new face that allows for improved and more accurate tracking at room level, and more accurate hand tracking should be a definite boon when it comes to playing Alyx. The headset also comes with a pair of SteamVR base stations and two Vive controllers. It offers a 3.4-inch LCD display with 2880 x 1700 resolution that provides a 90Hz refresh rate. The Vive Cosmos Elite bundle with Half-Life: Alyx is available today as we mentioned at the beginning, and it comes with a suggested retail price of €899 (around AU$1,520) or €899.
