HPE reveals new iteration of GreenLake cloud as a service

HPE announced a series of enhancements to its GreenLake onsite managed IT service to help businesses protect their most critical assets and get the most out of their data. HPE GreenLake is already bringing the cloud experience to applications and data wherever they reside, from the edge to the cloud. Now, however, HPE has introduced new cloud services for data protection through HPE GreenLake. These new services enable seamless data recovery so organizations can store their data on-site, at the edge, or in the public cloud. HPE has also designed them to meet service level agreements (SLAs) across a wide range of Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs). Data protection through HPE GreenLake enables effortless, automated data backup and recovery with a simple point-and-click experience.

Cloud data protection

HPE also introduced a new enterprise cloud backup service called HPE Cloud Volumes Backup. This on-demand service allows customers to back up their data to the cloud from any primary storage array, whether from HPE or another company. With HPE Cloud Volumes Backup, customers can increase storage capacity in minutes and direct it to existing data streams with a few clicks. Users can even set automated backup policies to eliminate the need to initialize, configure, manage, or tune physical or virtual infrastructure. The service also breaks down the silos of a typical cloud backup deployment by unifying cloud backup data and eliminating massive fragmentation. For those interested in learning more about HPE's latest storage advancements, the company will hold a live chat at HPE Discover 2020 with SVP and HPE Storage Manager Tom Black.
