What is the PE format with Joe Wicks?
Most of the time, it's a traditional twenty-minute session divided into two 10-minute halves, with a two-minute break in between. Sometimes things will get mixed up by extending sessions and shortening recovery (like yesterday - brutal), but you still get enough rest to prepare for the next workout. And sometimes, some sessions are slightly "alternative", with things like a draw, a deck of cards, or a wheel of fortune to decide which exercises are for you. It doesn't always work (two rolled dice are much more likely to hit certain numbers than others, which is why we did a lot of burpees that day), but it's a good way to keep things interesting. For younger kids (and adults too, if we're being honest), there's also a daily fact quiz to help you learn, as well as a 'spot the difference' to see what's changed in the room you perform in. your training sessions. Plus, there's always the chance to catch her kids running around, and every Friday she dresses up in fancy dress for the cleverly named "Fancy Dress Friday." (New to PE with Joe? If doing these sessions seems like a lot to start with, Joe just created a beginner's workout; you can watch it on his YouTube channel now.)
