HBO Max could be on its way to India

HBO Max could be on its way to India Currently, HBO Max does not have a direct-to-consumer presence in India. But it seems that the company has set out to enter India. WarnerMedia recently announced that it has appointed Disney veteran Amit Malhotra as general manager for HBO Max in Southeast Asia and India. Malhotra is now responsible for a "possible future release" in India, according to WarnerMedia's announcement. Malhotra is currently responsible for HBO Go, which is currently available in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. WarnerMedia announces that the HBO Go service will be upgraded to HBO Max in these territories.
