Halo: MCC is now the best-selling game on Steam

It promises to be a great year for 343 Industries. It looks like the developer's decision to make Halo: The Master Chief Collection available on PC is paying off. Following the release of Halo: Combat Evolved Remastered on PC, Halo: MCC has now reached the top of Steam's best-selling games charts, according to Windows Central. It's now topping pre-orders for Doom Eternal, the highly anticipated sequel to 2016's Doom, proving once and for all that Halo is still in demand among PC gamers nearly two decades after Halo: Combat Evolved's release in 2001. This is coming. after Halo: MCC topped Steam's bestseller list when it first launched with Halo: Reach in December 2019. Considering that the Master Chief Collection for PC only has two of the six games available on Xbox One until Now, that's a pretty impressive feat. It's also a good indication of what's to come after the next release of the Halo titles.

Halo: Combat Evolved is better than ever

Halo: Combat Evolved for PC, which is only available as part of the MCC, has a few flaws. However, 343 Industries has already released a fix to fix various accessibility and stability bugs, such as missing startup grenades for players and input lag. This patch also brings additional options for Social Matchmaking and Playlists in Match Composer, as well as in-game content to support the February events. This is in addition to Halo: Combat Evolved, an already existing series of new features, including 4K UHD and HDR support, as well as PC-only features such as mouse and keyboard optimizations. What is the next step for Halo: MCC? We still need to know. But one thing is for sure: the remastered Halo: Combat Evolved is reason enough to get the download.
