Google Stadia and BT Broadband team up to increase cloud gaming

Cloud gaming could be the future and the Google Stadia platform could well be where we see this future unfold - BT certainly thinks so, as it has partnered with Google to bring the button extension service to the UK. BT is the first European partner for Google Stadia and its potentially revolutionary new cloud gaming platform. That means it's a way to play almost any game on almost any screen, because all the CPU-intensive data is done in the cloud. Of course, you need speed for that, especially when you consider that it runs at 4K/60fps with 5.1 surround sound. This is probably why BT is working with Google to offer high-speed gaming on a selection of BT Broadband offerings.

Stadia with BT Broadband offers

New customers with Superfast Fiber 2, Ultrafast Fiber 100 or Ultrafast Fiber 250 subscriptions, starting at €39.99 per month, will have access to Google Stadia. They will receive a Stadia controller, Chromecast Ultra and three months of Stadia access, free games, as well as discounts on a la carte purchases. This deal is available as of now, while from February 7th BT will be offering a range of specialized Stadia plans, including a Premiere edition when you sign up for the aforementioned broadband options. At launch, Stadia will support Chrome OS tablets, including the Pixel Slate, Acer Chromebook Tab 10, and HP Chromebook X2, and Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 4.
