Google Pixel six vs Google Pixel six Pro: what's the difference?
Google has finally introduced the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro, anyway. The company has revealed what the phones look like and some of the specs, but there's still a lot we don't know yet that we may not know until the phones launch properly (probably in October). Still, from what we know, it's clear that while these two phones have a lot in common, they also have some significant differences. With that in mind, we've created this guide for any and all confirmed differences between the Google Pixel XNUMX and Pixel XNUMX Pro, and we've also included the alleged differences and those that haven't been technically confirmed but are almost certain to be present. - like the price.

Design and display

The Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro have very similar designs, and both have that distinctive camera bump you can see in the images above and below, but there are a few differences. For one, colors vary. Both phones come in three shades, but with the Pixel 6 you have the option of a combination of red and peach, black and grey, or green and yellow, while with the Pixel 6 Pro you have the option of yellow and orange, white. and gray or black and gray. Note that they also have a black camera bump in any case, and that these aren't the official names of the colors, just how they appear to us in the images we've seen so far. Image 1 of 2

You'll also notice that the area above the camera block is larger on the Pixel 6 Pro than on the Google Pixel 6. Screen-wise, it's larger and more curved on the Pixel 6 Pro, while the standard Pixel 6 has a smaller flat screen. Google hasn't revealed any display specs, but Marques Brownlee, a YouTuber who's had some hands-on time with the phones, says the Pixel 6 Pro has a around 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while that the screen is on. the standard Pixel 6 has a 90Hz refresh rate. According to leaks, the Pixel 6's display is likely to be 6.4-inches, but this hasn't been confirmed.

Camera and battery

We know the Google Pixel 6 has a dual-lens camera, and while Google hasn't named the lenses, Brownlee says there's a main and an ultra-wide. The Google Pixel 6 Pro has all the same lenses, but in addition a telephoto lens that offers 4x optical zoom. While not confirmed, the Pixel 6 Pro could also have more megapixels in its selfie camera, with a leak suggesting it has a 12MP one, while the standard Pixel 6 apparently has an 8MP one. The same source also says it expects a 4,614mAh battery on the Pixel 6 and 5,000mAh on the Pixel 6 Pro. This hasn't been confirmed either, but we'd be surprised if the Pro model didn't have a bigger battery than the standard Pixel 6.

Specifications and Features

The big new to the Pixel 6 lineup is its Google Tensor chipset, as this is the first time the company has made one, but it's found in both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, so it's not. There's no difference. . Where the phones may differ, however, is in RAM and storage, and while Google hasn't revealed those details, a leak suggests the Pixel 6 will come with 8GB of RAM and a 128GB option. Or 256GB of storage, and the Pixel 6 Pro will do. it has 12GB of RAM and a choice of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB storage.

Award

Pricing is something we don't know about yet, there aren't even leaks. But it seems almost certain that the Google Pixel 6 Pro will cost more than the Pixel 6. It's unclear how much more, but for reference, the Google Pixel 5 was selling for € 699 / € 599 / AU € 999, so we'll assume you're going to pay. at least that for the Pixel 6 and more for the Pixel 6 Pro.

Wear

So, from what we know so far, the Google Pixel 6 Pro will have more cameras than the Pixel 6, a larger, more curved screen with a higher refresh rate, and will be available in a choice of different colors. Beyond that, a combination of leaks and common sense suggests that the Pixel 6 Pro will also be priced higher and likely have a bigger battery, as well as potentially more RAM and storage. Taking all of this into account, it looks like the Google Pixel 5 Pro will be a true flagship, which would be nice to see given that last year Google stuck to mid-range phones exclusively. It's a little less clear how the standard Pixel 21 will position itself, clearly below the Pro, but whether it will land as a mid-range phone like the Pixel XNUMX or as a tall, but not quite tall, phone like the Samsung Galaxy. SXNUMX and OnePlus nine, remains to be seen.
