Google Maps makes getting around easier than ever - here's how
Ever since Google Maps entered our lives, daily trips to unknown destinations have become a breeze. On a daily basis, it helps users to easily move from one point to another, thanks to information about routes, travel mode and other similar features. Now the company is testing a new feature that could speed up the journey. A report on Droid Life suggests that Google Maps will soon start showing traffic lights and stop signs for Android devices.

Although it seems like this feature only shows the presence of a traffic light instead of the traffic signal in real time, a live signal status alert would make the functionality extremely handy.

A chance to become an apple?

By the way, Apple Maps is ahead of Google when it comes to implementing this feature and it was first announced with the release of iOS 13 almost a year ago. Unlike Google, which does not yet include traffic lights in the list of directions and highlights them while you are on the road, Apple uses them and alerts users via Siri in case you are approaching a traffic light or stop sign. . Such an alert is sent when you are pressed for time and prefer to take the route that is not only the shortest, but has the fewest traffic lights or stop signs. While this new feature may not be available to everyone, Google may test it with a handful of users. We hope Google sees the practical relevance of this feature and roll it out to the public soon. Obviously, it would be better if Google Maps also introduced the live status of the traffic lights. Let us know if you can spot traffic lights on Google Maps on your phone?
