Google Chromecast 2020 will have a remote control, if these photos are accurate
Reports started circulating earlier this year of a new Google Chromecast device with a built-in remote control and Android TV, and now new photos have surfaced that seem to corroborate these reports. The images in question come from XDA and XDA Recognized Developer deadman96385 who found an "out of the box" video for the device (codenamed Sabrina) in a pre-release version of Chromecast firmware. Based on the images, Google's new streaming dongle has taken on an oblong shape, but retains many of the same design cues from previous versions, namely the embossed G in the middle of the device and the full-color matte exterior. Photos of the device show it in three different colors: white, black, and peach, as well as the expected Android TV remote with a circular navigation wheel that also appears in one of the photos.

google chrome cast 4? Chromecast Ultra 2?

Neither XDA nor XDA Developer were able to provide a ton of details on the platform specs based on the source code, but the post did find that it will be running an Amlogic SoC that can support Dolby Vision reading. Considering the fact that the original Google Chromecast Ultra supports 4K HDR10 streaming, it would stand to reason for Google to set the bar here with the more powerful Dolby format this time around. The remote's layout also gives us a few clues about the device, such as the fact that it will be HDMI-CEC compliant, allowing you to increase the volume on your TV or mute the TV's sound with the remote on the bundle. in. The remote also has a Google Assistant button, which means it will also have a built-in microphone. Unfortunately, however, according to the metadata of the file that all the information came from, the video was created on October 10, 2019, which is now at least eight months old. In the meantime, Google may have changed the design, and XDA has made it clear that it may not be the exact final stuff we'll finally see from Google later this year. So, like all leaks, take it with a grain of salt. Image 1 of 3

Chromecast 4 potential price and release date

It's almost too early to speculate, but luckily Google has been pretty consistent with the release dates and pricing of its Chromecast products: almost all of them come out in the fall months for the northern hemisphere (September to November) and cost well under € 100 (€80, AU€150). First Protocol reports that they've spoken to sources who say the device should cost $80 (about $60, AU$120) to compete with the Roku Streaming Stick Plus and Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, but again, that's all a target move. when Google wraps up its 2020 product launches. As for when we may see them on stage, well, it's up to everyone to guess. Google IO was canceled this year due to Covid-19, and the company has yet to report on its annual September hardware event announcing the latest Pixel devices. That being said, in this new era of online events where plans can be announced a few days before they happen, anything can and will happen at any time, so stay tuned.
