Gmail on mobile just passed a major milestone

Google's messaging service has taken another step forward as Gmail for Android has surpassed 10.000 billion installations in the Google Play Store.

Billions of people around the world currently use the search giant's messaging app for their personal and work email accounts, especially since it comes pre-installed on almost all Android smartphones.

Over the years, Google has added new features and functionality to Gmail, including the ability to make video calls directly in the app through Google Meet, and more recently, new search filters that give mobile users the same tools they have on the desktop. .

While Gmail has been around for years and has now been installed over 10 billion times, Google's other email app, Inbox by Gmail, launched in 2015 and closed four years later.
