Galaxy Note 20 could finally take Samsung's cordless phone as PC DeX technology
Samsung's DeX technology, which provides compatible Samsung devices with a desktop-like interface when connected to a monitor, TV screen or computer, always seems to fall far short of its full potential. The main reason for this is that it consistently required a wired connection for smartphones, meaning it needed an additional docking station, adapter or cable to work. Now, XDA Developers have uncovered evidence in Samsung's own Tips app that seems to suggest that wireless DeX functionality is finally coming to the company's smartphones, with the possibility highly likely that the wireless functionality will launch with the next. Galaxy Note 20 released.

Samsung DeX se vuelve inalámbrico

(Image credit: XDA Developers) Found in a section of the app titled "Become a Power User," the Samsung app now offers the option to "use Samsung DeX on a cable TV," indicating that users can simply "launch DeX from the quick panel and choose an available TV." Of course, the functionality still doesn't work and, combined with the title "DREAM_DEX_HEADER_USE_DEX_WIRELESSLY_M_TIPS", we have to assume that the information was accidentally published ahead of time. Interestingly, the information above is only available when displayed on Samsung S20 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip devices, the latter, as XDA points out, does not offer DeX support. We expect Samsung to announce DeX Wireless at its next Unpacked event on August 5, where it will (presumably) launch the long-awaited Galaxy Note 20 series, and possibly the Galaxy Z Flip 5G.
