In an effort to confuse as many people as possible, Foxtel announced that it would be removing its Foxtel Now mobile app, transferring its functionality to the very similar Foxtel Go mobile app.
Starting today, users of the Foxtel Now app on iPhone and iPad will need to download the Foxtel Go app from the App Store, while users of the Foxtel Now app on iPhone and iPad will need to download the Foxtel Go app from the App Store, while than the users of the Foxtel Now application from the App Store, while the users of the application. However, things will remain unchanged in the living room, with the Foxtel Now app for smart TVs and video game consoles remaining active. Fortunately, Foxtel and Foxtel Now subscribers can use their existing login credentials to access Foxtel Go at no additional cost.
According to Alice Mascia, Foxtel's director of product and strategy, the decision to focus on a single application is aimed at "adding more value to Foxtel Now customers by giving them access to features and support." Popular Foxtel Go previously unavailable on the Foxtel Now app. "
