Food Delivery: What food and meal delivery services are a niche right now?

Food Delivery: What food and meal delivery services are a niche right now?
As England goes through its second coronavirus lockdown of the year, the population will be even more reliant on the delivery of groceries and important supplies to the home. For now, after looking at delivery slots and options available at Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Asda, Iceland and more, we've seen some stores starting to fill up for the month. As it stands, Tesco home delivery is only really available for the next week and beyond, with only a few slots available until Sunday. The locations in Bath, however, only have spaces available from December. Morrisons, on the other hand, has a few slots for the next three days until Sunday, while Iceland in London has free slots for the whole week until November 25. We have seen stores showing increased availability compared to the first shutdown, which is a huge relief. Supermarkets will continue to offer priority delivery slots to older and vulnerable customers. Supermarkets use customer and government data to prioritize food delivery niches for those who need it most. Make sure you have signed up for the government's database of clinically vulnerable people if you need help. Sainsbury's, for example, has a special service that you can see here. Earlier this year Morrisons and Asda launched a catering service to help meet the demand caused by the first lockdown, and that will continue as we move into the second. Morrisons food boxes offer a wide range of options, while Asda's food box is ideal if you need to stock your cupboards with household essentials.

Grocery delivery

As with the first lockdown, we have signed up with all major supermarkets and are assessing the situation on a daily basis across the country, in London, Leeds, Portsmouth, Manchester and Bath. Your region may differ, and your stores may differ, too, but there's every reason to believe that grocery availability should be much easier than it was at the beginning of the year. Importantly, for all the supermarkets below you will need an account which we recommend doing as soon as possible as this will allow you to see your own local availability for deliveries.

Amazon Fresh Delivery: Delivery is included in your Prime membership for orders over €40 Amazon Fresh is included with Amazon Prime, allowing customers to receive fresh groceries the same day at low prices. (If you don't have Prime, you can sign up for a free trial and cancel before the trial ends with no strings attached.) In the UK, a service that was up and running earlier this year called the Amazon Pantry is no longer available as of June 30.

Tesco Food Delivery: Slots Available for Delivery and Collection If you're a Tesco shopper, you have plenty of delivery options. Portsmouth, London, Manchester, Leeds and Bath have spaces available this week and until the end of the month. You may even have it delivered on November 20, but depending on your location, there are more options starting next week. With that in mind, Click and Collect locations are healthy all month long. Find a delivery window at Tesco

Food delivery in Iceland: new times available for the week In London, Iceland posts spaces available until November 25. It's been relatively unchanged throughout the lockdown and there's a chance it could be delivered tomorrow, with plenty of options to get one later in the week; be sure to check the Iceland website for availability. You can get free next-day delivery from Iceland when you spend €35, so fill up your freezers.

Asda Ready To Eat Delivery - Delivery available from Saturday and next week Asda is showing delivery options up to December at the moment, most of which are available nationwide. However, for now, the first delivery available for Bath is November 28 and December for Leeds. Elsewhere, next week has good availability, with more launching next week and beyond. It is better to go for Click & Collect, which offers many free slots throughout the month. Book an Asda delivery now.

Ocado Food Delivery - No Delivery Slots Available Ocado looks the same as Morrisons in that it shows up three days from now. There is no delivery window available. As always, it will depend on your local store. Find a delivery niche at Sainsbury's

Waitrose food delivery: limited delivery window this week, plus next week Waitrose has a handful of locations available depending on your location. In general, availability is limited for this week, with most available spaces showing up by next Wednesday. There are more options if you're ready to use Click & Collect.
