According to the Kotaku website, Sony Pictures Television and Hivemind Entertainment have teamed up to create a series of activities based on Final Fantasy XIV. The original plan is not to adapt the story of Square Enix's MMORPG, but to create a new story in the world of Eorzea where magic and technology clash with each other to bring peace to a country full of conflicts. Based on the announcement, we can expect classic Final Fantasy items like Magitek, Airships, Chocobos, and the character Cid. It is not yet known when or where the series will start, but it should be remembered that Hivemind Entertainment is behind the adaptation of The Witcher, which arrived this year on Netflix. Already in games, Shadowbringers, the new extension for Final Fantasy XIV, arrives on July 2 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
