Feature-rich LG Tone Free T90 wireless earbuds could tip off AirPods

LG has just unveiled its new flagship wireless earphones, and if they're as good as they've promised, they could be some of the best wireless earphones ever made.

Last year's LG Tone Free FP8 true wireless earphones were a solid alternative to the Apple AirPods Pro and Sony WF-1000XM4 earphones, albeit cheaper and not as impressive. This year, LG has apparently kicked its game up a notch with the Tone Free T90 headphones, which feature upgraded drivers and materials that should make their sound quality better than ever.

These drivers will also be put to good use, as the T90s can support 24-bit/96kHz Hi-Res Audio. This should mean that audio quality and latency are more on par with wired headphones than other wireless headphones, helping to create a realistic soundstage full of detail that would otherwise be lost on a tighter connection. weak.

To help further enhance the soundstage, LG's Tone Free T90 headphones will be the first wireless headphones to use Dolby Head Tracking. With this feature and its built-in Dolby Atmos support, these headphones can track your head movements and alter the soundstage of the movie or video game you're playing to keep you immersed in the scene, rivaling the audio feature. AirPods.

You'll also be able to stay immersed in that audio for a decent amount of time, with the earphones promising a continuous battery life of nine hours, on par with some of the best wireless earphones on the market.

If

Packed with impressive audio features, these headphones promise you'll probably want to use them as often as possible, and the good news is that the T90s have a special case that should maximize the number of devices they're compatible with.

Wireless earbuds are generally limited by the lack of a wired connection, which means they typically can't connect to devices that don't support Bluetooth. Fortunately, the T90 case can use its Plug & Wireless feature to fix this problem.

Simply connect the box to the device you want to listen to using the included USB-C to Aux cable and it will automatically send audio to your headphones, just like a native Bluetooth connection.

That's not all the case can do. If your earbuds are running low on power, you can place them in the case for about an hour and they will fully charge, with the case storing up to 20 hours of extra power which will extend the total listening time of your earbuds to 29 hours.

Finally, the case has an UV light that promises to hygienically clean your headphones between uses, just like last year's model.

cuts the noise

Even with all these next-gen features, LG's wireless headphones don't seem to have forgotten the basics.

The T90 headphones will come with active noise cancellation so you can enjoy your audio without outside distractions. In addition, LG promises that the ergonomic design will ensure that the headphones fit comfortably in the user's ear, because what's the point of having headphones that can last for nine hours if you can't bear to wear them for more than nine minutes?

To confirm their audio quality and comfort, we'll have to test these headphones for ourselves. That said, they seem poised to offer an impressive set of features.

The only drawback is its IPX4 waterproof rating. This means they should be splash-proof, but be careful not to wear them while swimming, if you plan on getting sweaty or dropping them in a puddle.
