Nintendo announced the three new games that will be added for free to its NES Nintendo Switch online library for the month of June, but it's not really a classic month. Nintendo online subscribers will have access to Double Dragon II: The Revenge, sports volleyball, and the weird platform/drive hybrid City Connection. Time for the next generation of gifts?
The €3.99 / €3.49 / €5.95 per month subscription now costs over 40 NES games to play on your Nintendo Switch, as well as the Tetris 99 Battle Royal Jigsaw. It's nice that the library of games is constantly expanding (although it has been suggested that they be traded), but real 8-bit games from the early 80s are starting to run out. Hopefully, as part of its E3 2019 Nintendo Direct, the company is starting to introduce new Virtual Console games to the system. It would be nice to be able to play SNES or Nintendo 64 games on a hybrid handheld.
