Developers New Until Dawn Horror Game Is Called The Quarry

After the success of Until Dawn, Supermassive Games is back with another teen horror release this summer. The pool is filled with celebrity voices, some of which are synonymous with the horror genre. It is extremely accessible and offers various ways to play and interact with the experience.

The developer posted a sneak peek of The Quarry on Twitter, but the official reveal has just been released and you can check it out below. Fans of classic slasher movies will definitely love the premise; Camp counselors are picked up on a warm summer night with their fate in your hands. And the skills of the actors involved will excite you even more.

You may have seen some familiar faces: we've got David Arquette from Scream, Lin Shaye from A Nightmare on Elm Street, Justice Smith from Jurassic World, and Lance Henriksen from Aliens, to name a few.

In terms of gameplay, Until Dawn players will be familiar with the formula. Your choices will shape the story and determine whether your character will live or die. With nine camp counselors to choose from, you can have fun of all kinds.

Are you worried that your weak decision-making skills will spill over into your real life in the game? Don't worry ! You can play with up to seven of your smartest friends online, letting them see and vote on key decisions. Or you can opt for classic couch co-op, piloting the path of your own advisor.

With the goal of making the game fun for everyone, The Quarry allows players to customize the difficulty. And if you're too loose to play, you'll see the action unfold in movie mode. So if you want to enjoy a cinematic thriller, you can, while also choosing how the story unfolds.

"The Quarry innovates interactive storytelling and technology to create a truly visceral teen horror experience," says director Will Byles. "I can't wait to see the choices you make, who you save, and who you're willing to sacrifice!"

The Quarry will be released on June 10, 2022. You can pre-order the game now and opt for the Standard or Deluxe edition. As a pre-order bonus, you'll get access to three cinematic filters. They pay homage to indie horror (8mm style film grain), 80s horror (retro VHS style), and classic horror (black and white).
