Death Stranding on PC postponed to July due to Covid-19 outage

Death Stranding is due out on PC in a little over a month on June 2, but has now been pushed back to July due to disruption caused by the coronavirus outbreak. Death Stranding's new release date is July 14, as announced by Kojima Productions on Twitter.

After the temporary closure of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, we had to postpone the PC release of DEATH STRANDING to July 14, 2020, in order to allocate more development time amid existing home work orders. Thank you all for your patience and continued support! #Keeponkeepingon pic.twitter.com/euOmebcdQj April 21, 2020 As noted in the tweet, the reason is that developers need a little more time due to work from home as many people nowadays are due to the various coronavirus lockdowns around the world. . So we now have a little less than two months to wait until Death Stranding is released outside of the console world, but as it always is, we'd much prefer a port to go right, rather than sooner. And more specifically, we prefer that everyone who uses it does so safely, rather than taking risks with Covid-19.

PC benefits

Death Stranding promises nifty bonuses for PC gamers, including support for ultra-wide monitors, which looks tasty as we've seen, as well as a neat photo mode and extra Half-Life content (headcrabs today). Naturally, PC gamers will also benefit from higher frame rates (depending on their exact hardware setup, of course). Death Stranding will release simultaneously on Steam and the Epic Games Store on the new release date of July 14. The game came out on PS4 in November 2019 and has received a generally positive reception, although there has been some dissent among critics, however we have been very impressed.
