Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed again, it probably hasn't gone unnoticed, but the reason the game was picked is quite revealing and possibly frustrating for PC gamers. According to CD Projekt co-CEO Adam Kiciński, the delay with Cyberpunk 2077 was due to issues with final optimization for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. PC Gamer reports that Kiciński explained the delay as follows: “The game is ready for PC and runs great on next-gen consoles, and could ship as expected on those platforms. "However, even though Sony and Microsoft have certified the game in current people, some very final optimization processes for such a massive and complex game require a bit more time." That extra time is three weeks, by the way, if you missed the news yesterday. Cyberpunk 2077 was scheduled for release on November 19, three weeks today as it happens, but now it won't release until December 10. So the wait time doubled to six weeks, in other words (and don't forget the game was originally scheduled for an April 2020 release).
