Linux gamers won't be left behind with Cyberpunk 2077, as the game is now playable on Linux thanks to an update to Valve's Steam Play service. As you may know, Steam Play allows people to play Windows games on Linux using Proton, a compatibility layer (actually a specially modified version of WINE), and Proton has just received a version 5.13-4 update. It's an update that is only compatible with Cyberpunk 2077, with the caveat that you'll need to use an AMD graphics card (and you must have Mesa 21.0-devel Git). Of course, how the game will actually work on Linux distros in these early days is another matter, since there are already many question marks over how many bugs there are when running native Cyberpunk 2077. on Windows, at least according to some reports.
