The first episode of Loki offered a new kind of sibling rivalry with the fabulous relationship between Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson, who plays Agent Mobius, fueling a comedic introduction that got the TV series off to a good start. Soaking up the events of Avengers: Endgame, Loki opens with the villain whose series is named having escaped captivity with the use of the stolen Tesseract, only to arrive and be surrounded by TVA agents. Immediately captured, he takes us to the VAT base and gives us a succinct explanation of the inner workings of the organization and its integral role within the MCU. Barely avoiding being "rebooted" in court, Loki is escorted by Agent Mobius, who has his own curiosities to sort out. Between the teasing and the teasing, Mobius seems to reveal a side of Loki that turns out to be more complex than that of the power-hungry villain who grew up constantly being outshone by his older, bulkier older brother. But will he be the hero or the villain this time? Episode 2 could turn out to be his first, as Loki teams up with the TVA to help rid the world of time criminals, decking out the uniform and all.
