The US government's plan to restrict H-1B visa extensions could force thousands of Indians to leave the country despite pending green card applications, Nasscom Chairman R Chandrasekhar said. In a report on Tuesday, the McClatchy media organization said the Department of Homeland Security is considering reinterpreting the wording of the rule allowing H-1B visa extensions. "The idea is to create a kind of 'drive-out' of hundreds of thousands of Indian tech workers in the US to open up those jobs to Americans," the report said, citing a source briefed by tech officials. Currently, the Rules allow the US government to extend work visas beyond the two or three terms allowed if a green card is pending. Estimates show that the United States has more than a million H-1B visa holders who have pending green card applications, many of whom are from India and have been waiting for more than a decade. I love using my Silhouette Cameo to quickly cut these out. But you can also cut them with scissors and an awl for the holes in the tape. Print the gift card holder on cardstock.
