The ICM37E is Icom's latest portable floating marine VHF and comes with six watts of power output for extended range communications. This radio has a very simple design, pleasant to the touch, simple to use and simple to read.The ICM37E delivers a powerful six W transmit output power, making it ideal for long distance communications. The powerful seven hundred mW audio output gives clear communication even in noisy environments.
The radio will float if it accidentally falls into the water and can be located by its flashing red LED and the button / LCD illumination.
The supplied lithium-ion battery can manage over twelve hours of battery life. The radio comes with a charger with a small clip to hold the radio in place in moving environments. The drop-in charger can draw power from the mains (included), such as twelve V on board via a USB adapter plug, which makes charging very versatile.
The ICM37E is built with an IP57 dust and water resistance rating (1 meter over thirty minutes). The radio also has an AquaQuake drain feature to clean the water from the speaker grill to prevent the speaker from flooding.
