It has earned high praise for its functionality and image quality, not to mention its excellent enhanced smart platform that comes with Bixby and Samsung SmartThings support. It wasn't perfect, though, and there were legitimate complaints about viewing angles and an overly aggressive local dimming system that squashed detail just above black. Samsung clearly took these criticisms to heart and addressed them squarely in the Q90. The new model has a visibly higher viewing angle that holds up against an OLED TV, and local dimming delivers deep blacks without losing shadow detail. To this end, the new Ultra Black Elite filter is a revelation, rejecting ambient light in a way that stuns belief. The Q90 is capable of delivering images that can compete directly with an OLED, with natural colors, bright highlights, deep blacks, and well-defined shadows. It can also outperform any OLED in HDR, with images often impressive in detail and dynamic range. In fact, our only real criticism would be that unlike some competitors, the Q90 doesn't support Dolby Vision. As is the case with all OLED TVs, panel brightness fades compared to an LCD TV, but brightness isn't everything. The absolute blacks and the level of pixel precision offered by the self-emitting technology ensure that HDR is magnificent. 3. Sony Bravia A8G OLED

Too expensive. Infrared remote control is not great. If there's one thing the OLED A8G proves, it's that Sony is still the king of enhancement. In our review, we found that the Sony Brave A8G OLED was capable of taking old DVD HD/SDR footage and making it modern, producing natural images and incredibly smooth movement. Admittedly, we're not too crazy about Sony's Acoustic Audio Surface technology or the IR Blaster remote control supplied with the TV, but it's undeniable that the products deliver on their most important aspect: 'picture quality'. That said, the Sony AG8 is still expensive, especially compared to the LG B9 and C9 OLED. Both TVs cost much less and offer roughly the same picture quality at a more affordable price, but we think Sony's incredible upscaling technology justifies the increased cost. And yet, while it's easy to criticize the Samsung Q900R, it really does usher in a new era of TV picture quality. Its native 8K visuals are amazing, they look just like the real world, only better. But more importantly, given the lack of true 8K content for the foreseeable future, the Q900R renders all of today's low-res sources more beautiful than anywhere else. Whether 8K will have the same impact on smaller screens remains to be seen, but if you have enough space and budget, the Q900R is a vision of the future that's definitely worth buying today. . This is a screen that looks premium and has a spec on the right hand side of the fair. The Android platform is easy to live with, this vibrant sound system is entertaining and high quality. Offering Dolby Vision is a welcome refinement, but the caveat is the lack of support for HDR10+. So what should you buy? Discover the X9500G series. With superb 4K picture clarity, powerful SDR to HDR remastering, and smooth direct LED backlighting, Sony offers something very different with the X9500G. Right out of the box, the best way to describe the X9500G's image quality is... well, natural. It is not flashy. It's not very bright. The colors are not oversaturated. It's a truly natural picture with subdued colors and excellent black levels, perfect for HD/SDR content. That said, if you're the type of person who wants a little more pop in your images, all you have to do is turn on Live Color in your image settings. This mode works on HD/SDR content to add a bit more color saturation to the image and helps to "pop" the image in a way that really grabs your attention. It's a shame poor sound quality ruins such a large 4K/HDR TV, however taken in isolation the Sony X9500G is a flawless display with a lot of potential. 9. TCL X7 UHD QLED series
TCL offers a high-quality TV at an attractive price.55-inch: TCL 65X7 Very good value for money Sleek styling Good image quality More wobbles on smart stuff Minor deinterlacing issues The first thing you'll notice about the TCL X7 series is its beautiful display panel. It is remarkable that physically, one could almost mistake it for an OLED panel. It has a similar glass panel appearance which is very modern in style. If you're looking for a smart TV, TCL is there for you, because the X7 series runs on Android 8.0 "Oreo". Since it is an Android TV, it implements Google Assistant voice command. It's also compatible with Amazon Alexa, but with a bit of a hoop involving TCL Alexa skills. In terms of raw power, the X7 is equipped with a 64 GHz 1.1-bit quad-core processor with 2.5 GB of processing RAM. This has occasionally caused minor noise and artifacts with 1080i/50 and 576i/50 content, but that shouldn't be much of a problem. This TV offers Ultra HD (4K) resolution and HDR picture support (although not Dolby Vision), and thanks to the inclusion of 16 local dimming zones, the X7 is capable of producing incredibly deep black levels. It's also a QLED TV, using quantum dots to provide improved color accuracy, an impressive feat considering its price.
