Nokia was once the world's largest phone company, but initially missed out on the smartphone revolution. In 2020, it's experiencing a renaissance as a mid-range Android player, with a few high-end phones thrown in for good measure. Nokia phones are now manufactured by the Finnish company HMD Global, which allows the use of the Nokia name. When we first heard about the partnership, we were skeptical, but it turned out to be great: we now find ourselves reviewing several quality Nokia smartphones each year with a simple design and clean, powerful Android software. We've fully reviewed each of the phones here and listed the pros and cons so you can see which one offers the best features and the best price for your needs and budget. Plus, all Nokia phones have great clean Android software and incredibly frequent software updates, so they're a solid choice if you want a phone that will last a good three years. HMD also introduced the Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 1.3, mid-range and budget options that we hope to revisit sooner rather than later and will no doubt appear on this table to replace some of the older models.

With a bulky battery, this will last you all day too, though you make the most of that extra screen real estate. There's a dedicated Google Assistant button that invariably gets in the way and annoying, but otherwise the Nokia 8.3 5G is reasonably well designed if not noticeable. Likewise, while the camera setup looks impressive on paper, the macro sensor is pretty poor, so we wouldn't recommend this one for keen photographers. But the cameras are surprisingly decent, and the clean, simple design is a plus.
