Each major version of iOS also comes with a host of updated apps that take advantage of new features. It is no different with iOS 15 which is available to download and also comes with the released iPhone 13 series. Since widgets are now in iPadOS 15, the developers have tried to ensure that their iOS 14 widgets also work on iPads, as well as exclusively sizing XL widgets for the tablet. Wallpaper app 2

Wallpaper allows you to create a collection of stylishly designed wallpapers, but version 2 goes one step further. You can create live wallpapers in as little as 3 seconds or up to half a minute to really showcase the colors and effects generated by the app. The app's developer, Ben Harraway, made sure that he would just use math, code, and pixels to create lots of unique wallpapers that could fit his iPhone or as big as his .iMac. It might look simple for an app, but when you dig deeper, you get a great design with a Saved By the Bell color scheme that screams neon. runervals

Created by Ben Noland, the app detects when you walk and run and gives you an easy-to-read graph of your times, distance, average heart rate, and pace. You can track your history and see how you can improve your workouts with a progress screen on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Runervals also connects to the Health app, so you can view your previous runs in this app as well. The app only works on iOS 15 and later as Runervals is fully built on SwiftUI, which is Apple's language to develop apps with. Along with the watchOS app that uses the always-on display feature of watchOS 8, Holland told me that developing with these latest features made it easier for them to create Runervals, while also introducing new features. While the app is free, there's also a $2.99 / £2.99 / AUS$2.99 per month subscription that can record and save unlimited runs, plus show you your exercise trends and set timers while you run.
Countdown

Fortunately, the Countdowns app can help, as it's now updated to version 7.0 for iOS 15, with a bunch of small but significant improvements. While the app can already create a countdown timer based on upcoming events on your calendar, you can search the app for those you missed and add them to Countdown. If there is a recurring event, you can also repeat a countdown. Something happens every Wednesday and you need a countdown? Now it is possible.
