The Apple Watch 6 is an expensive wearable, and while the Apple Watch SE is a more affordable option, it still isn't cheap. But Apple has now started selling refreshed versions of both models at a deep discount. It should be noted that, as of this writing, only the US Apple Store site offers both refurbished models, but you can get a refurbished Apple Watch SE in Australia. Neither are currently listed in the UK, but it will probably only be a matter of time until they are available refitted as well. Either way, there are a range of different refurbishment options available, but in the US you can currently get a refurbished Apple Watch SE starting at $259, which is $50 less than new. For more expensive models, savings go up to €100.

On the Australian Apple Store site, the cheapest option currently costs A$399, a savings of A$80 compared to the same full-price model. In both countries, the cheapest option is a 44mm model. A 40mm with the same strap would be even cheaper, but it's not currently available refurbished. This is a problem with buying refurbished products - available stock will change regularly so you may not always find what you are looking for. As for the Apple Watch 6, the US Apple Store site says that starting at €339, which is €60 less than the same model, it would be new and the savings for the more expensive models will go up again to € 100. While neither the Apple Watch 6 nor the SE are available as refurbished in the UK yet, you can probably expect a similar sort of discount there when they arrive. A refurbished Apple Watch 5, for example, can be bought for more than $60 less than it costs new. If you buy a refurbished Apple Watch from Apple, it will have been thoroughly tested and cleaned, come with a one-year warranty, and be repackaged in a new box with all the accessories and cables you need.
