Has Apple accidentally disclosed the October 4 release date of macOS Catalina?

We were waiting for news of the official macOS Catalina release date and now it seems that Apple announced it by chance on their Danish website, macOS Catalina apparently launched on October 4th.

Discovered by MacRumors, the Danish website macOS Catalina has announced that Apple Arcade will be available on the macOS Catalina app store on October 4.

"An exceptional game, find it in the App Store from October 4," said the original website, although references to October 4 have been removed.

This could mean that Apple noticed the slip and quickly removed it. Or it could have been a mistake, and October 4 won't be the macOS Catalina release date. However, if this is true, it means that we only have a week to wait for the release of the official version of macOS Catalina.

MacOS Catalina release date: will it be October 4?

So what is the probability that the macOS Catalina release date is October 4? Its brief appearance on an official Apple website is pretty compelling evidence.

This is also consistent with the fact that Apple has only announced that the macOS Catalina release date would be in October.

However, as MacRumors points out, Apple generally releases its macOS updates on a Monday or Tuesday. So the macOS Catalina release on October 4, which is a Friday, would be a bit strange.

The website suggests that macOS Catalina could go live early in the week, with Apple Arcade launching on macOS Catalina later on Day 4.

I hope we don't have much time to find out.
