Animal Crossing on Nintendo Switch: release date, news, and features

Animal Crossing on Nintendo Switch: release date, news, and features
Nintendo has finally given fans what they want. In a Nintendo Direct in September 2018, the company announced (via a small trailer) that Animal Crossing would be coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2019. Though the trailer doesn't provide any details about the new game mechanics, or even about the characters that they would come back from the previous games, he gave us an announcement, which is more important than what we had previously. Logic told us that the announcement of this announcement was only a matter of time. Animal Crossing is a very popular series for Nintendo that allows you to change a lot of material after all. But a new Animal Crossing title on the Switch guarantees old gamers. This is not only because Animal Crossing is already popular and popular, but also because the game harmonizes perfectly with Nintendo's hybrid console. The nature of the Animal Crossing sandbox makes it ideal for long playback sessions on your TV, as well as shorter bursts by flipping the switch into portable mode. While we don't have a ton of details on the game, here's what we know so far about Animal Crossing on Nintendo Switch.

Animal Crossing Switch release date

As vague as it may sound, all we know now is that Animal Crossing on Nintendo Switch will be available sometime in 2019. We'll probably talk more about the game from a game's perspective. E3 2019.

News and rumors about Animal Crossing Switch

Officially announced
Nintendo officially announced Animal Crossing for the Switch at Nintendo Direct in September 2018. Nintendo Switch Comes to Animal Crossing Camp
So it wasn't really a direct sign of an Animal Crossing game coming to Nintendo Switch, but it did throw our desperate minds into a whirlwind of conspiracy theories. The Switch item has been added to the Animal Crossing Pocket Camp game as a daily bonus item to encourage players to log in day after day.

The images (almost certainly false) that fled.
One of the first signs of an Animal Crossing release on Switch is in the form of image leaks purporting to show gameplay. There were two images in total: one showing what was supposed to be the game's splash screen, and one showing actual gameplay. Unfortunately, both were almost certainly wrong. However, it's obvious that there's strong fan demand for a Switch version. Certainly, we're definitely intrigued by the idea of a globe-trotting animal cross. You can see the two images below:

Nintendo brand
In January 2018, it was revealed that Nintendo had applied for a new Japanese Animal Crossing trademark for various purposes, including software for a home video game machine, a handheld arcade machine, and smartphones. Now we already have the smartphone app in the form of Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, but we haven't seen portable and gaming devices for the home yet. A Nintendo Switch version would check both of these boxes. In addition, the brand also covers stuffed animals, gaming machine controllers, board games, playing cards, protective sleeves, and trading card games. So it's clear that Nintendo still has big plans for the series. It's been a long time since the last big launch.
The last mainline Animal Crossing release was New Leaf from 2012. It's been six years now, and since the gap between the usual releases for mainline titles was three to five years ago, we often say we need a new game. What's also interesting is that the Wii U has never received a mainline title (no, Amiibo Festival absolutely doesn't count), while many fans were hoping to see one. Nintendo may have started working on an Animal Crossing Wii U or is waiting to release one for the Switch, and while we can't be sure, we think a Switch release is imminent. Anyway, the main Animal Crossing team completed development of Splatoon 2 some time ago. So you must have something new in the pipeline.

The success of previous versions.
Previous versions of the DS and 3DS Animal Crossing have sold extremely well for Nintendo. Wild World and New Leaf have exceeded 11 million sales. While previous versions of the GameCube and Wii home game consoles have not performed as well, we are inclined to say that the Switch will turn the tide thanks to its hybrid nature, and that Nintendo will have the wind. Stern. hands. Pokemon, one of Nintendo's most undisputed titles on the market, Pokemon, is now confirmed for the Switch, we don't think the company is likely to let Animal Crossing languish further on the 3DS.

What we want to see from Animal Crossing on Switch

Wider, more dynamic, cast.
We love our neighbors, Animal Crossing, but we can't deny that they can become a bit of the same. This is a problem that cannot be solved by repetitive interactions. We'd like to see a new Animal Crossing introduce even more new faces to the neighborhood and maybe include other ways to get to know them better. Seeing more dialogue and fuller personalities would make us players very happy.

More furniture
Decorating in Animal Crossing is one of the most important and best parts of the series (just look at Happy Home Designer to try). But we would like to see even more furniture in a new set. New styles and themes would be welcome, perhaps with more customization options. Larger spaces or more areas.
With the power the switch offers, we believe we can achieve the biggest and greatest animal crossing of all time. Although we liked that Animal Crossing was in a small town, we also enjoyed the New Leaf town atmosphere. In Animal Crossing on Switch, we would not like to go any further, but it would be nice to see new neighborhoods or areas of the city that offer some services or places to visit.

More possibilities to create your own story.
Stepping into the role of mayor was one of the best aspects of New Leaf, but we'd like to see something different in the next installment. Maybe more options in what role you play in the city. Pocketcamp allows players to play the role of a vacation camp owner. Therefore, in a new mainline game, we might consider some additional career options. Of course, for those who are interested in continuing down the mayor path, they would still be there, but it would also be exciting to see the paths of merchants or cafe owners open up. Create your own designs or make furniture for sale to the local population, or gather ingredients from your town and others to add interesting flavors to your cafe menu, these all sound like fun activities in a world of Animal Crossing. Mobile link
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp was a welcome release, as we hadn't seen anything from the show for a while, but it didn't give us enough interest due to its lack of depth. However, this doesn't mean we'd like to see the mobile game completely abandoned when a major release comes out. It would be great if Nintendo could somehow tie the console and phone versions together to give players more depth into mobile gaming and give us another way to take advantage of the console version. Whether it's to unlock and transfer items, earn money, or improve relationships, we're just a way to keep you going, even on days when we can't carry our switch. Now that we know it's possible with Pokemon Let's Go, our hopes are even higher.
