If you're hoping to get your hands on the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, AMD's latest flagship processor, you may need to prepare to spend big, or at least wait for stock to pick up. Currently in the United States, the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X processor is sold almost everywhere. Almost every retailer sells, including Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, which hasn't even gone on sale yet, and Micro Center. Even on AMD's website, the Ryzen 9 3900X is no longer available. However, if you're feeling particularly brave, you can find the processor on eBay, but you won't find it at the MSRP. Instead, you can expect to pay around €700 (roughly £560, AU$995). We managed to find the used processor on eBay for less than that, but it's still over $100 at retail, $600 (about $480, AU$850). We checked with UK and Australian retailers to see if availability was better. If you're in the UK, you should be able to "pre-order" the chip from Amazon, Scan or Overclockers, although it takes at least a month to arrive at your doorstep. And, in Australia, you can pre-order the chip at PLE, but the Ryzen 9 3900X apparently doesn't even exist on Amazon. And, in mWave, the processor is not available for purchase, with the option to be notified as availability increases.
