AMD's Next-Gen Navi 33 GPU Could Disappoint Some Gamers
AMD's next-gen Navi 33 graphics card could feature 4.096 cores (stream processors) according to the latest GPU news, which is less than the previously theorized rumor mill, and may not appear until 2023 (we'll come back to this point later). This is the speculation of one of the most frequent Twitter leakers, Greymon55, who updated his bio to point out that number of 4.096 hearts, but with a question mark added, reminding us of what period he is currently in rumor territory ( keep that bag full of condiments handy). The change is notable because, as Wccftech points out, Greymon55 previously suggested that Navi 33 would have more cores than that: 5.120 to be precise. So some people immediately think of this new rumor in the sense of Navi 33, which could be the GPU powering the RX 7600 series, given that Navi 23 (current gen) is the mid-range RX 6600, n' no it is quite as powerful as initially expected. Hold your stream processing horsepower before attempting to draw even vague conclusions here, as the Navi 33's overall performance level is expected to surpass Greymon55's current flagship RX 6900 XT. The leaker tweets further to clarify that the Navi 33 was "designed to be better than the 6900 XT" and even if it doesn't meet that design goal, its performance should still be around the level of the 6900 XT.

Analysis: first days

In summary, Greymon55 suggests that although Navi 33 will have fewer cores than previously thought, what could be the mid-range offering for RDNA 3 cards could still prove more powerful than the product. which is presumably some seriously impressive architectural advances, or else it shouldn't fail and should offer roughly the same gameplay oomph. Really though, it's still very early on the overall timeline for AMD's next-gen graphics cards to make such predictions. We must be very skeptical about all this, and even Greymon55 admits it in another tweet where they say that over time the "specs will become clearer", so obviously this speculation is based on a rather confusing rumor. . Greymon55 further notes that AMD is still "planning" next-gen GPUs, and they won't be out until 2023, as mentioned at the beginning of this story. Presumably early 2023, since we previously expected new graphics cards to be released in late 2022.
