Alcatel just announced the cheapest 48MP camera phone ever

Most people consider Alcatel to be a budget smartphone maker whose phones don't offer great value, but the company just gave us a new reason to worry: it just unveiled a smartphone with a 48MP photo. it is cheaper than any other camera with this type of camera at the moment. The phone is the Alcatel 3L (2020), unveiled at CES 2020 alongside the Alcatel 1B and Alcatel 1S (2020), two even more affordable phones. Although high-end phones have migrated to 64MP or even 108MP patches, the resolution rush really started with 48MP sensors, and we've never seen one for such an affordable price. So what are these three new phones like? While we wait to familiarize you with the devices, we'll quickly walk you through their specifications.

Alcatel 3L (2020)

The Alcatel 3L is the 48MP sensor camera phone, which comes with 5MP ultra wide angle and 2MP macro cameras so you can take a variety of different photos. The screen measures 6.2 inches diagonally, and while we don't know much about the phone other than that, we do know that it will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone is expected to launch in early 2020 for $139 (about $155, $120, AU$225), making it very affordable. Before then, the device that held the crown for cheapest 48MP smartphone camera was the Redmi 8T, but unless the Alcatel 3L was outrageously expensive in others. regions, it seems that Redmi has been usurped.

Alcatel 1S (2020)

Even cheaper than the Alcatel 3L is the 1S, which should only cost $99 (about $110, $85, AU$160). You don't exactly get smartphone power, with a 6.2-inch HD+ display, but you don't expect that price. The camera range here consists of 13MP main, 5MP depth and 2MP macro shooters, which is certainly a new setup for a triple-lens camera, although we've seen weirder before. The thing to know with the Alcatel 1S is that despite being a super-affordable phone, it still looks like a typical Android device that would easily cost a triple-digit sum, and it doesn't look cheap or tacky at all.

Alcatel 1B

If you want the cheapest smartphone possible, the Alcatel 1B is for you. It only costs $79 (around $90, $65, AU$125), which is an incredibly low price for an Android phone, especially one with Android 10 (albeit the Go edition). Sure, you only get a 5,5-inch screen, 2GB of RAM, and a single 8-megapixel rear camera, but you also get a 3000mAh battery which for a budget phone like this will easily get you through a day. So if you want a budget phone without even a fingerprint scanner, this is a decent device for you.
