The title of leader in wireless earphones in 2019 goes to Apple Airpods, which achieved its lead over brands like Samsung and JBL with a 27% market share in India according to Counterpoint research. Under Tim Cook's leadership, Apple has conquered the true wireless stereo (TWS) market and will maintain its dominance well into 2020 according to Counterpoint projections. The TWS segment has been seen as a lucrative vertical by technology companies. In 2019, Apple had a 27% market share and was the best-selling brand in the TWE segment. Indian brand Noise and American veteran JBL ranked second and third respectively. Apple's AirPods revenue in 2019 is estimated at €6 billion. Apple should stay ahead, Bernstein analyst Toni Sacconaghi has revealed. He added that it could sell up to 85 million AirPod units in 2020, generating around €15 billion in revenue.

Competition Intensifies Fast

Apple Airpods have come a long way since their launch in 2016, when many TWS headphones laughed at their initial design and prices.
