Adobe Max 2022 live: all the latest updates for Photoshop, Lightroom and more

Welcome to our Adobe Max 2022 Live Blog, where we'll be covering all the big announcements from today's Creative Apps Festival. Whether you're a fan of Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or just seeing the future of creative digital tools, Max is always a fun ride, and we'll collect all the news here as it happens.

What exactly is Adobe Max? The software giant calls its Los Angeles event a "creativity conference," but that's really an excuse for Adobe to unleash an explosion of ad confetti on its vast array of Creative Cloud apps. Think sophisticated AI-powered Lightroom tricks, new releases like Photoshop on the web, and plenty of forward-thinking demos on machine learning, augmented reality, and virtual reality.

Even if you're not a die-hard Adobe fan, Max's lecture is still a good showcase of the cutting-edge creative tools that come from his expertly rendered pipeline. Given the growing competition Adobe is currently facing, from Google's AI editing tools to machine learning assistants like Dall-E, this year's conference should be particularly compelling.

The live virtual keynote doesn't start until 9am PDT / 5pm BST (or Wednesday the 19th at 2am AEST), but Adobe has historically made big announcements ahead of its live presentation, and we're expecting the same again this year.

Join us to discuss everything we expect to see and what the new updates to Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign could mean for your creative noodles, whether you're a Creative Cloud subscriber or not.
