One of the biggest rumors about the iPhone 12 ahead of launch was that Apple might ship the device without headphones or a charger, and that turned out to be true, for the most part. Apple has chosen to remove a few different items from the iPhone 12 box provided by previous iPhones, but not all of it, so you'll still find it somewhat packaged with the device. The reason given for the iPhone 12 omissions is to reduce electronic waste, and that certainly makes sense: most people opt to buy their own headphones instead of using the cheaper ones in the box, for example. , and even if you're using the EarPods, you can still wear your old pair (unless it's your first iPhone). It's quite possible that you already have one, so you won't need a new one, but you really should check it out first. Most wall chargers that come with devices have USB-A ports, that's the large rectangular input, but the iPhone 12 cable plugs into USB-C, it's a smaller input with rounded edges. . If you have to buy one, Apple's website sells one, but it's a bit pricey, so it might be worth looking into a USB-C wall charger from Amazon.

IPhone 12 Headphones

If you have any of your old iPhone that connects to Lightning, you can use it, but if not, is it time to switch to wireless headphones? Apple is probably crossing its fingers that it wants to upgrade to its AirPods or AirPods Pro, but there are plenty of other options on the market (we haven't given the non-Pro AirPods very positive reviews). Wireless charger for iPhone 12

The iPhone 12 supports 7.5W wireless charging with all Qi chargers (most wireless chargers are Qi), but with Apple's proprietary MagSafe, which uses magnets on the back, this goes up to 15W. iPhones have supported Qi charging for quite some time, and there are plenty of wireless chargers sold on Apple's website. Apple's MagSafe is a new addition to phones so how useful it is remains to be seen, but 15W wireless charging sounds great. Only Apple sells MagSafe technology through its website, though third-party sellers may start soon.
