Today (March 8) is the day of Apple's first event of 2022, and while we thought we had a good idea of what to expect, two additional details have just leaked and they relate to new device colors.
According to "people familiar with the matter" who spoke to YouTuber Luke Milani, we'll see a new dark green (*13*) tint on the iPhone 13, joining existing options of pink, blue, midnight (black), light the stars (white) and red.
While this shade is quite dark, it is also quite bold and will definitely stand out from the extremely pale black, white and pink shades currently available. It's not as flashy as the red model, but it seems to pair well with the blue, giving buyers another option (*13*) for a bold, but not blinding, color.

Apparently, we'll also see an iPad Air model land in purple. This would be the new iPad Air 5 that has long been rumored to debut at the event, but the color is also new to the list.
Based on the leaked images you can see here, it's a pale shade, similar to the iPad mini (2021), and matches the current color options of the iPad Air (although "it's not clear if all current options will remain (*13*) the new model).
So these are two quite different new shades: one is meant to stand out, while the other is meant to blend in. Although, of course, we take all this with a grain of salt. Opinion: More color is always a good thing
Let's hope this leak is fair, because giving buyers more choice in how their phones and tablets look can only be a good thing. A device needs to look good and be able to reflect your style, which can be hard to do when there are only a handful of color options (and two of those are inevitably black and white).
Bold colors like this green are particularly nice to look at as they are often avoided by manufacturers, though even more so on higher-end devices like the iPhone 13 Pro, so it's a shade we'd even more like to see applied. to this phone. .
Still, a green iPhone 13 is a step in the right direction. Maybe one day Apple will make a big leap and allow buyers to create custom color schemes like Samsung allows on the Galaxy Z Flip 3, but we'll take what we can get for now.
