Linux protection

While mobile users on iOS will soon be protected from phishing and insecure logins, Microsoft also revealed in another update to its Microsoft 365 roadmap that Linux users will soon have access to extended protection as well. The software giant makes available to customers Microsoft Defender endpoint protection and response capabilities for endpoints running Linux. These users will soon have the ability to "detect advanced attacks involving Linux servers, use rich investigative experiences, perform advanced investigations, and rapidly remediate threats on Linux servers." Microsoft's new Linux EDR features are still under development according to the Microsoft 365 roadmap, but could be rolled out soon, with their release scheduled for November of this year. A large portion of global servers are currently running Linux, which means these new features will be very useful for IT teams trying to detect and prevent attacks against their organization's servers.
